Rivka 22 /Bak’a, Jerusalem
Rivka 22 project in Baka neighborhood is located on a central axis, the seam between the pastoral Jerusalem neighborhood of Baka and the commercial and industrial space of Talpiot.The unique building on 22 Rivka St. posed many challenges for the group and its consultants, on their way to realizing a TAMA 38 project in this location. The building houses fifty six residents, to be reached through seven different entrances. For over a year, Manos Group formed a detailed agreement with the residents’ representatives. Following the signing of the agreement, the project underwent planning on the way to its realization.
Consistent and intensive work with the planning department in city hall, as well as the building’s residents, enabled the project to move to the construction stages. At the end of works, the residents will benefit from a foundations’ reinforcement against earthquakes, an addition of twenty five square meters to each apartment and a full upgrade to all shared infrastructure, including the constructions of elevators and replacement of the main sewage system. When the process is finished, the building will be up to date on all relevant standards in the construction industry and the housing values will be significantly raised.
